WELCOME TO COLORFUL COLORADO
Denver, Colorado, and the land upon which it sits has long been a gathering place. The area was home, first, to the Native Americans of the high plains. Then came the Spanish explorers who named the area ?Colorado??meaning ?reddish??for its native red stone. Fur trappers and mountain men once traded with Native Americans at the confluence of Cherry Creek and the South Platte River?now downtown Denver. And in 1858 when gold was discovered in those waters, thousands of European-Americans settled ?Denver City? during the great Pike?s Peak Gold Rush.

From July 25 to July 29, 2008, Denver will again serve as a gathering place?this time to host Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity for the 51st meeting of the Supreme Chapter. The event will be the first national convention to be held in the Centennial State. And with the beautiful Rocky Mountains as the backdrop, Supreme Chapter and Denver are sure to provide plenty of excitement for everyone—students, alumni, spouses, guests and children alike.
